Great battery, the phone doesn't heat up during gaming at max settings even with FPS unlock, the system operates very quickly and smoothly, good price, includes a quality case and screen protector, and in the Chinese version there will also be a power adapter (buy a good adapter with locking). Weak cameras compared to other flagships. |
Now it's not even a basic flagship, but a gaming phone, although Asus ROG Phone models are much cooler gaming phones. Do I recommend this phone? At the current price of about 1,000 EUR — definitely not. For that money, it’s better to buy a versatile Android flagship like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. When the price drops to 625 – 675 EUR, you might consider the phone if you're interested in gaming phones with long battery life. By the way, only buy the global version as the Chinese versions get blocked by the company! I'll share a little experience using the phone. One of the things that pleases me is the battery life, which is definitely quite impressive. Of course, everyone uses their phone differently, but the battery life of this phone is certainly one of the best among expensive models. The weight is pretty reasonable, considering the battery capacity. With a powerful charger, you can charge the phone up to 75% in 30 minutes. The software is quite stable, though there is a bug with connecting to Android Auto over Wi-Fi (this is a common issue). Now, what's not to like. The company's new positioning of the phone. Compared to the predecessor, the company put worse camera sensors here. Now during the day, the phone takes pictures a bit differently (thanks to AI), but at night it's definitely worse because the sensor sizes are smaller than the 13 model. Just so you understand, the main camera here is the same as in the Samsung A56 (which costs 15,000-17,000 EUR). We used to love OnePlus for the unique OxygenOS, but the current OxygenOS is the same firmware found on Oppo and Realme. Now the phone doesn't have the unique mode switcher on the side; instead, a simple button appeared. If OnePlus used to be positioned as a flagship killer, now the company positions the phone as a gaming phone. Yet, the phone overheats in most synthetic tests and doesn't complete them. And what kind of a gaming phone is that!? |
I didn't want to overpay for the global version for 15,000 UAH, so I bought the Chinese version. There's no Ukrainian, but there is English. The screen is good, but not the top one; the refresh rate will be 120Hz everywhere, only in a few games will it be 165Hz, so that's pure marketing. The camera is definitely not a strong point here, as it turns out, the main camera's sensor is quite cheap. The camera block doesn't stick out much, which is convenient. This phone is definitely not a camera phone. The battery lasts long; in normal mode, it should last 2 days, and while gaming, it might discharge in about 5 hours of continuous play. Fast charging at 120W allows you to charge the smartphone in less than an hour. The back cover gets scratched; after all, it's glass, so a case is needed in any case. On the back cover of the black case, you can draw with something sharp. From what I understand, there are no AI features here – this isn't Samsung, but the main thing is there's no advertising like in Xiaomi. It turned out that the Chinese version has problems with app notifications, and there's a lot of "Chinese stuff." After a week, call functionality was blocked, showing "unable to establish a connection." From what I understand, the company has a policy where Chinese phones get communication blocked, which also applies to the entire OnePlus Ace lineup. Returned it to the store. Design, autonomy The cameras are very poor for their price. The light sensor doesn't work properly. It's a Chinese product with network blocking in the Chinese versions. |

AMOLED panel with a refresh rate up to 165 Hz
Compared to the previous OnePlus 13 model, the smartphone has slightly reduced in size and features a screen with a lower resolution. The display now measures 6.78 inches diagonally, with a resolution of 2772x1272 pixels. Meanwhile, the screen bezels have become thinner, and the maximum refresh rate of the AMOLED matrix has increased to 165 Hz. This level of refresh rate is available in a range of optimized games like Call of Duty Mobile, Arena Breakout, and similar projects. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is located under the screen.
Top-tier hardware
The smartphone is built on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and is equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM paired with a fast UFS 4.1 storage of 512 GB. An advanced cooling system, designed for long gaming sessions and resource-intensive tasks, ensures stable operation without throttling. A silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 7300 mAh serves as the power source, supporting fast wired charging at 120 W and wireless charging up to 50 W.
Three times fifty
The smartphone's main camera consists of three 50 MP modules each. The main sensor is the popular Sony IMX906 with optical stabilization, accompanied by a stabilized telephoto module with 3.5x zoom and an ultra-wide-angle camera. The front camera for selfies has a resolution of 32 MP. Special attention is deserved by the enhanced protection of the OnePlus 15's body: the device is dustproof and can withstand immersion in fresh water up to 2.5 meters, as confirmed by IP68/IP69K certifications. An integrated artificial intelligence, OnePlus AI, powered by Google Gemini, complements the smartphone's capabilities.

Some might be willing to pay 10,000 UAH more for a "gray" Samsung S26 Ultra or 20,000 UAH more for a European Vivo X300 Pro for slightly better cameras in Samsung's case or much better ones in Vivo's, but then you'd have to settle for their relatively small batteries at 5000–5400 mAh. For me, the battery size is a priority, and here there's a bonus in the form of firmware for a cheap Chinese model.
Unfortunately, Oppo continues to throttle OnePlus and deliberately downgrades the cameras, but they're still good enough to be considered "flagship" level — at least on the lower end of it.
The biggest revelation for me was the cooling system and optimization — this phone just can't heat up to an uncomfortable temperature, even under heavy gaming on max settings. My previous OnePlus 11 and Samsung S23 Ultra heated up like stoves and drained the battery right before my eyes, but here I finally feel like I'm using a quality product: it doesn't heat above 40° and holds charge twice as long compared to the tired S23 Ultra.
Need better performance and autonomy — this OnePlus. Need better cameras — any other flagship.
