It is positioned as a product of the basic price category, intended for use in popular 3-case systems for flow-through drinking water treatment, designed to install replaceable elements measuring 10"x2.5". The Unicorn K-ST cartridge set provides sequential mechanical, ion-exchange and sorption purification. At the first stage, a PS-10 filter based on foamed polypropylene is used. It completely retains all types of mechanical impurities (rust, sand, silt, etc.) with a particle size of up to 5 microns. The working volume of the second cartridge (FCST-10) is filled with granules of an ion-exchange resin with a grain size of 0.2 to 0.7 mm. It effectively binds calcium, magnesium and iron ions, significantly so...ftening the water. Such treatment reduces the formation of scale in dishes, teapots, coffee makers, and also significantly improves the taste of water and brewed drinks (tea and coffee). In the third stage, an FCB container cartridge filled with activated carbon is used. It neutralizes active chlorine and absorbs most organic substances (including petroleum products, pesticides, humic and organochlorine compounds) and heavy metals. |
