If you are right in between two sizes, you may opt for the longer one, as the drop, and thus the overall length of the post can be reduced using 5mm spacers. The Thomson Masterpiece Titanium Seatpost features proven saddle clamps, paired with Titanium hardware. It has a long 1.614 inch (41mm) seat rail grip length. This helps prevent seat rail bending from impact loads. Most other seatposts have grip lengths of at least 0.5 inches shorter than this grip length.This Thomson seatpost has a clamp, head and upper tube are strong enough to withstand 350 foot-lbs of torque.
