V stands for Varioflex, ALPINA's photochromic technology that automatically darkens and brightens the lenses depending on lighting conditions. Q-LITE enhances contrasts. A hydrophobic coating keeps the outside of the lens clean. From the inside, fogstop prevents the lens from fogging up. The glasses can be individually adjusted via adjustable nose pads. To ensure a comfortable fit, the frame is equipped with a 2-component design. The lens is thus not only clean, but dries faster too. Varioflex Varioflex is a lens technology in which the lens tint automatically adjusts to the weather. The self-tinting (photochromatic) lens reacts to visible light. When exposed to radiation, chemical elements open up and create a flat, darkening effect. When the light intensity decreases, the chemical elements close and the lens becomes brighter again. This process takes seconds. The result: a lens for a wide variety of light conditions.
