Analogue

— the operation of such devices is based on a combination of mechanics and optics — the light reflected from the original is transmitted directly to the photosensitive drum, which forms the image on paper. Analogue copiers are generally cheaper than laser copiers, and the technology itself has been worked out and is quite reliable, but it is considered obsolete and is quite rare in new devices.
