The manufacturer of the electric infrared heater Ballu BIH-LM-1.5 positions this model as a mobile "heat gun". The device is designed for rapid heating of such local production areas as service stations, workshops, construction sites, small industries, warehouses and utility rooms, as well as for accelerated drying of walls and any painted surfaces. In addition, the model is great for heating cottages, cottages, gazebos, verandas, terraces and outdoor areas. The lamp unit, installed on the floor on removable bent tubular legs, provides comprehensive and efficient heating even in strong winds and frost. The compact body of the heater weighing 3.5 kg has a durable steel structure with an anti-corrosion coating and is equipped with a convenient carrying handle, and the working area of the emitters is closed from contact with a chrome-plated fireplace grate. With the support legs removed, it is also possible to mount the device on the wall, where it will work most efficiently when removed from the object at a distance of up to 2 m.

Thermal radiation plus convection

The heating elements of the device are 3 quartz lamp emitters with a total power of 1.5 kW, designed for a maximum heating area of 15 m2. According to subjective sensations, the thermal radiation of the heater is comparable to the level of heating that other types of electrical appliances provide with twice as much power, which gave the manufacturer grounds to declare an approximate area of the serviced area of 25 m2. The device does not have a control thermostat, but there are two switches on the side surface of the case, allowing you to set one of the 3 heating levels (0.5 / 1.0 / 1.5 kW). Due to the upward movement of air through the heater, double heating is carried out by infrared radiation and convection. The model is equipped with electrical protection class I, water protection class IP21, which allows you to use the device outdoors in dry weather, as well as an automatic shutdown when tilted and overturned. Unfortunately, the design does not provide protection against overheating. The manufacturer gives a 2-year warranty for an infrared heater, and 6 months for quartz tubes.
