I replaced the "Brička 001" with new ones, size 225*45*17. Compared to the "Brička", they are much softer and create less noise. They don't follow the ruts. In the rain, you obviously need to drive carefully, I wouldn't fully trust it. Going 130 km/h on the Kyiv-Kharkiv highway, during rain and a gentle turn, passing through a puddle 1-2 cm deep, I almost lost control (on new tires). In the rain, it's better not to go over 100 km/h, in this regard the "Brička 001" is better. Confident handling at high speeds on dry surfaces, doesn't catch ruts. Despite its softness, it is quite durable; I hit the Ukrainian lunar landscape several times, thought my fillings would fall out, but no bumps appeared. Moderate handling on wet surfaces. No issues at city speeds, but I won't risk it at over a hundred on wet roads. use Continental ContiPremiumContact 6 225/45 R17 91V few months |
No matter what anyone says, Chinese tires for 2 kopecks really differ from the real Continental. The claim that they're the same isn't true. They're worth the money; you'll be throwing away the Chinese ones in a year, while with these, you'll be driving for 3 years. The tires are just gorgeous. I was looking for options for a car with pneumatic suspension and previously found heaps of options including cheap Chinese ones that rumble like a train, feeling almost square, and let's not even talk about balancing. As for Continental, everything is just perfect. On the road, especially when warmed up, they make no noise at all—you just drive and forget. Regarding the braking distance, everything is spot on despite the tires being soft with an asymmetric tread pattern. As for aquaplaning, it’s a debatable point: if you speed into a corner with water, nothing will help, but if you use them normally and don’t push them beyond limits, they will perform well and you won’t need to fear wet conditions. The sidewalls are soft yet strong; there is a side cut, but no bulge appeared. At temperatures around 4-5 degrees, the rubber becomes noticeably hard and noisy, so I recommend changing it for winter in time to avoid unexpected issues on the road. |
The premium summer tyre of the ContiPremiumContact line from the eminent tyre company Continental combines sporty handling and ride comfort. The sixth generation of the series has improved on almost all fronts, which raises the model to the rank of one of the most balanced top-level tyres.
Interesting drawing
The tyre stands out from its peers with an interesting tread pattern — its long shoulder blocks support each other for fast and stable cornering both on dry and wet roads. This part of the pattern is taken from the sports model Continental SportContact 6. The design of the "shoulders" is complemented by an asymmetric tread rib geometry with three deep longitudinal channels to drain water from the contact patch.
High scores
The tyre has received the highest A rating in the discipline of wet grip. Also, the tyre receives high scores for low rolling resistance and long mileage, the merit of which lies on the shoulders of an improved rubber compound. But in terms of noise, the Continental ContiPremiumContact 6 is slightly inferior to its “classmates”, as well as in terms of resistance to hydroplaning.
Many sizes
Another important plus of the model is a huge number of sizes covering wheels with diameters from R16 to R21. In total, there are about 70 tyre variations with speed indices from 240 to 300 km/h. In any of the modifications, the tyre provides dynamic acceleration, effective braking and sensitive reactions to all driver actions.
