I'm inclined to think that the tires will be pretty good.
26 October 2014
Unexpectedly decent performance on wet and dry asphalt for a tire priced at 40 EUR each. Purchased at the Odessa online store Smart-Shop. How it will perform in mud, snow, and ice, life will show.
Bought and installed on 25.10.2014. Immediately decided to try it on the highway in pouring rain at a temperature of +1°C. Puddles 2-5 cm deep at a speed of 90 km/h, the car goes through without a hit, easily cutting through the water without a hint of skidding. It takes turns easily without any drift. It responds to the steering wheel perfectly. The next morning on dry asphalt at +1°C everything was OK too. Softer than the summer tire Bridgestone Turanza ER-300, it goes over speed bumps. Braking is effective, ABS and ESP did not activate. The vehicle (Renault Megane, 2014, diesel 1500 cc with automatic transmission, tires 205/60 R16) did not lose comfort and handling after installing the Evergreen EW62 winter tires. There was no mud, snow, or ice on the roads yet.
The tires smell really bad. They don't balance perfectly. I had to remount two tires on the rims because the balancing machine required weights of 65g and 70g, which is too much for new tires and rims. After rotating the two tires on the rims, everything balanced with weights of 15g and 40g. However, when I asked the tire service about when and how their balancing machine was calibrated and checked, they couldn't give me a clear answer.
