Model overview based on user reviews
The Nitto NT830, particularly in the 205/65 R16 99H size, has proven to be a reliable choice for users, offering a smooth and quiet ride without vibrations. Users have driven up to 50,000 km over two years with minimal tread wear and no issues such as punctures or bulges. The tires perform well on wet roads, maintaining stability even at speeds of 140 km/h, and handle wet dirt roads effectively. Although the tires felt stiff at lower temperatures, adjusting the pressure improved comfort. Compared to brands like Michelin, Continental, and Dunlop, these tires have shown remarkable durability and sturdiness. However, the price has increased significantly since purchase, reflecting a broader trend in tire pricing. Overall, the Nitto NT830 offers excellent value for money, making it a solid choice for those seeking dependable performance.
Pros
Cons
Very sturdy tires, compared to Michelins, Continentals, and Dunlops - they've never let me down (no warped tire tread and no bulges, and never caught a nail). However, those tires were in size 205/55-16 and 205/60-16, not 205/65-16 99. I went for the 205/65-16 99 size, manufacturer Japan, for the front of the Caddy. In 2 years, I drove 50,000 km. Tread left is 3 mm. Completely satisfied - it doesn't make noise, no vibration on the steering wheel, doesn't float on wet roads during rain at a speed of 140 km/h. On wet dirt roads after rain, I drove once - didn't get stuck. No bumps, punctures, etc. Very satisfied, would buy again. At +4, it felt pretty stiff, but then the pressure was 2.6 atm in the front and 2.8 in the back. I reduced it to 2.4 and 2.5, and the ride got softer, though the temperature also went up to +8. But that's not a downside – the tires aren't winter ones. I bought them at Epicenter at the beginning of 2020 for 1550 UAH. They were manufactured in 2018. Now the price is about 2150 UAH in other places, and they aren't available at Epicenter. In two years, the price increased one and a half times. They've totally gone crazy with the prices. use Nitto NT830 205/65 R16 99H more than year |
holds the road well, price after 90 km/h, it gets noisy, like it starts howling on studded tires |
