The PocketBook e-book reader is one of the manufacturer's flagship book readers with a large 10.3-inch screen. The model received an aluminium case, which has a positive effect on strength and visual appeal, but does not make the reader much heavier (300 grams). The large, paper-like E Ink Carta display features a high resolution of 1872x1404 pixels, making it an excellent choice for reading a variety of content - books, newspapers, scientific articles, digital magazines, educational literature, etc. Additional advantages of the screen include multi-touch touch control and the presence of SMARTlight backlight, which should take care of comfortable reading in any level of ambient light. The PocketBook X e-book supports all the most popular book file formats. In addition, there is the possib...ility of listening to audiobooks and support for the Text-to-Speech function. The latter is able to voice almost any text document. Additional multimedia features of the "reader" include the presence of a music player with support for MP3 and OGG. Right on the device, you can store a fairly large library of files, because the size of the built-in memory is 32 GB. The “stuffing” of the model includes a 2-core processor with a clock speed of 1 GHz and 1 GB of RAM, a Wi-Fi 4 module, and a 2000 mAh battery that provides up to 15,000 page flips from a single charge.

Model overview based on user reviews
The PocketBook InkPad X is a highly regarded e-reader known for its large, clear Carta screen that allows for reading even in direct sunlight, with adjustable backlight brightness and temperature. It offers extensive storage of 32 GB, accommodating a vast library of books and comics, although it lacks a memory card slot. The device supports a wide range of formats and includes multimedia features like a dictionary, browser, and audio player, with music playable via USB-C or Bluetooth. Despite its lightweight design, users should handle the screen with care due to its fragility. While the e-reader boasts a long battery life of up to a month, it does not support software or game installations. Some users note the absence of a book-style cover and limited Bluetooth functionality as drawbacks. Overall, the PocketBook InkPad X is praised for its functionality and screen size, though some desire a higher pixel density for even sharper resolution.
Pros

Cons

Gorgeous model, zero regrets! Look for a stand.

The Emperor of E-readers. You simply won't find a better or cooler e-reader anywhere else! Indispensable for studying and work! It really grabs attention. 32 GB of storage is enough for your library, your favorite cat's library, and your mom's friend's son who reads more than you.

Music can be played through USB-C or Bluetooth. Tons of supported formats.

The impressions aren't as strong as from the PocketBook 740, but the large screen still leaves a strong impact.

The screen has a plastic substrate instead of a glass one like the PB740, but it's still fragile. Take care of it! It holds 80% of the e-reader's value!
+ Healthy touchscreen with backlight
+ Lots of memory for books and comics
+ Light as a feather
+ You can listen to music
+ Really a month without charging because it’s not Android.
+ Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and USB-C 2.0
+ Pixel-free screen. You can read even under the sun. You can read any document without increasing the font!
+ Backlight with brightness and temperature control.
+ Image support
+ Carta screen (it's the clearest, just so you know)
I'll start with the main points; the rest are minor issues.
- There's no book-style cover. You need to buy a stand. And that's a hassle!
- The Bluetooth can't send or receive files. It's only for headphones/speakers.
Minor issues:
- No memory card. Even though it's 32 GB (with about 28 available), I love comics, and there are many.
- The power button is on the menu button. It's not very convenient, but you get used to it.
- The screen is very expensive! About 17-20 thousand from the cost of the book. Take care of it!
- You can't install software and games.
- The screen is grayer compared to the 740.
- The back cover is slightly rounded. When pressed on a table, it will wobble slightly, but not spin.
- Due to thin frames, very rarely, there are phantom touches. But holding it in one hand is generally convenient, but not very comfortable.

300 ppi is just what this screen needs, so we're buying it!
Screen size, functionality.
Would be better with a higher pixel density.
