Sensors
The weather station of the German manufacturer TFA has a built-in thermometer, hygrometer and barometer, that is, it can determine the temperature and humidity of the air in the street and indoors, as well as atmospheric pressure. An external sensor is responsible for measuring indicators outside the home: it is quite compact, does not take up much space, is attached to the wall or simply placed on the surface. It is made of plastic and is powered by two batteries, but the compartment for them does not have sealing gum, so it is better to hide the sensor under a canopy where it does not get wet. It has its own small display, the range is 40 metres. In addition, two more sensors can be connected for climate control of other rooms: for example, a children's room or a cellar.
Colour display
All received numbers are displayed on a colour LCD display, they are large and easy to read. However the screen itself has a small viewing angle: if you look at it not directly, but from above, below or from the side, the picture is poorly visible. Therefore, you need to carefully choose a place for installation. By the way, with the help of a stand and mount, the device can be placed or hung on the wall. But in the latter case, access to the control buttons located at the back will be blocked.
The display shows the calendar, time, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and its bar graph for the last 12 hours, daily maximum and minimum values and, as a bonus, the current phase of the moon (lunar calendar). The weather forecast is made in the form of images for the next 12 and 24 hours. The device can be used as an alarm clock with the "snooze" function (repeating the signal every 5 minutes).
The station works from a network or from batteries. When powered from the mains, the display backlight automatically turns on, when from batteries, it turns off after a few seconds. By the way, the backlight has an interesting function: you can turn it on with one clap or by touching the panel, which is very convenient.
