Video reviews

Under the wing of the French tyre giant Michelin lives with a dozen sub-brands. This allows the company to focus on the production of top-end tyres under its own name, and rely on numerous subsidiaries in the low-cost tyre segment. One of those is the “Serbian” TIGAR UHP.

UHP class

The UHP abbreviation for summer tyres is nothing more than Ultra High Performance. On store shelves, it is presented in dimensions R17, R18 and R19. For wheels of radius R15 and R16, the TIGAR HP model is available. A complete analogue of the tyre in question is presented in the assortment of other Michelin subsidiaries: Kormoran, Orium, Riken, Taurus and Strial brands.

Asymmetrical pattern

Rubber was created with an eye on powerful cars with sporting ambitions. The asymmetric design of its tread is the key to safety on dry and wet road surfaces, allows you to fearlessly manoeuvre and provides excellent directional stability in a straight-line trajectory of movement. Simply put, the tyre demonstrates responsive behavior for the lion's share of adequate driver actions.

Responsive behavior

The high capacity of the quartet of water drainage channels contributes to a low risk of hydroplaning. Another trump card of the model is the increased size of the contact patch, due to which the tyre fits better to the roadway and uniform wear of its tread blocks is ensured. In reviews of the TIGAR UHP, they only complain about the roll of the tyre due to excessive softness. However, if you do not have to make turns at speeds over 120 km/h, the softness of the rubber is exclusively for the future, especially on our roads of not the best quality.
