Model overview based on user reviews
The Toyo Proxes C1S tires receive mixed reviews from users. On the positive side, they are praised for their excellent performance on dry roads, providing a quiet and comfortable ride, especially at high speeds, and are particularly appreciated by BMW X3 owners for their reliability and comfort. However, there are significant concerns regarding their performance on wet roads, with users reporting dangerous aquaplaning and poor braking distances in the rain, which can be life-threatening. Additionally, some users find the tires to be noisy and note that they wear out relatively quickly, with one user mentioning they became bald after 45,000 km. The price is also considered high given these drawbacks. Overall, while they perform well in dry conditions, caution is advised in wet weather.

TOYO Proxes C1S 215/60R16 95W Skoda Superb, sporty style and heavy loads tested at speeds of 230-240 km/h - holds the road excellently, no noise, response is precise. When entering a turn with a heavy load - everything is perfect, holds as if glued, no noise, squeaks, or skidding. Glides over bumps and markings very quietly. In the city - I don't see the point in evaluating (with a calm driving style you can ride on "blocks"), how do you hear anything there??? wear and tear (riding style), Primacy's teddy bears wore out less |
BMW X3 car, wheel size 17 - 235\55, installed these tires after driving on Michelin wheels 17 - 235\55 due to a large number of punctures and hydroplaning. Toyo - on off-road with sand or dirt roads - they are excellent, they hold the road, you can enjoy maneuvers with potholes at 70-90 km/h, on the highway tested with extended driving at 180-200 km/h very comfortably, quietly, softly and most importantly, after Michelin, where hydroplaning was quite worrisome, with these tires I never lost contact with the road when crossing puddles at any speed. So for an all-wheel-drive BMW, this is a great choice! Price |
Folks, I strongly advise against buying this model or any TOYO (I've used more than one model). The noise and screeching when braking aren't the worst. Aquaplaning is life-threatening! And all these "features" like "super grooves" are a scam. Plus, the price is crazy for such characteristics. Car Mercedes W210 E280. The tires are more or less quiet in the city up to 80 km/h. That's where the advantages end. EXTREMELY dangerous tires on wet roads, especially at speeds above 60 km/h. Hitting even the slightest puddle is akin to skidding on ice in winter. It's dangerous to drive in the rain, even in the city. The car weighs 1750 kg, and even on dry clean asphalt, it skids during moderate braking (ABS engages frequently). Further, after 120 km/h in hot weather, it sounds like it's studded. |
