The flagship model in the Viomi range aims to make life as easy as possible for the owner and to minimize the need for his intervention. And the docking station helps a lot with this, which simultaneously serves for charging and self-cleaning the tank. That is, you do not have to clean the dust collector after each cleaning - the robot itself parks near the station, and all the collected garbage is automatically sucked into a disposable bag. Interestingly, the station itself is even more powerful than the robot, so the tank is emptied almost instantly - in just 15 seconds. True, it works quite noisily, but we believe that this is not such a big price to pay for the absence of unnecessary trouble. This is especially true due to the fact that the device uses a combined tank for water (the model can perform dry and wet cleaning) and garbage collection, so the dust container itself has a small capacity and needs to be cleaned frequently. Both the self-cleaning station and several disposable bags are included in the package.

By the way, people with allergies will definitely appreciate the model: in addition to the fact that they do not have to breathe dust when cleaning the dust collector, a triple filtration system is also provided, including a HEPA filter. As a result, up to 95% of small particles, dust and allergens are retained inside, and already purified air comes out.

Another advantage of the robot was the presence of four laser lidars with artificial intelligence at once, which scan the room 180 degrees. Thanks to them, the device quickly and accurately maps the room, drives as close as possible to the walls, does not crash into furniture, does not miss any sections, and most importantly, it avoids obstacles. The manufacturer claims that the system recognizes more than 150 everyday items like children's toys, pet bowls, extension cords, slippers, and so on, so you don't have to clean them all off the floor before starting the vacuum cleaner. However, in practice, this function does not work so perfectly and the device can still drag some things across the floor.

At the same time, the device effectively eliminates dust, crumbs, hair and wool due to a rather large suction force of 4000 Pa, overcomes thresholds up to 20 mm high, quickly jumps onto carpets, while increasing power, maps quite accurately and after several test passes it is good oriented in the room. It can also mop the floor, pick up small puddles of spilled liquids, and clean corners and baseboards with no blind spots. For control, you can use the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa virtual assistants and a smartphone application that allows you to adjust the suction power and the intensity of wetting the wipes, remotely start the vacuum cleaner, view the map and limit the cleaning area.

Whole house on one charge

A fairly capacious 5.2 Ah battery is installed inside, one charge of which is enough for 3 or more hours of battery life. It is stated that in one session the device is able to clean up to 420 square meters, and this is an impressive figure. That is, the device will be a good helper in large houses.
