The second generation of the Palma reader from the ONYX brand has become noticeably more advanced thanks to an updated processor and a fresh version of the operating system — Android 13 with access to Google Play for installing any applications. Among the new features are a fingerprint scanner for data protection and an additional "smart" physical button to which you can assign your own action.
Externally, the ONYX BOOX Palma 2 has hardly changed: the device retains a compact (just 8 mm thick) and lightweight (170 grams) body with water resistance. The package also includes a case that protects the reader from mechanical damage.
