The stand is nice, but keep in mind that 1400 RPM isn't a lot, so if you have a hot system, you might want to look for something else. I really like the lighting (even though it can't be turned off). My laptop makes more noise under load than the stand, and sometimes I'm not sure if it's on or not, but this subtle lighting helps. Good mounts, the laptop stands securely.
