Model overview based on user reviews
The AL-KO SnowLine 46E is an electric snow blower designed for small areas, offering a 46 cm working width and a 30 cm snow height capacity. It features a 2000 W motor and a rubberized auger, making it suitable for freshly fallen snow but not for ice or hardened snow. Users appreciate its German quality and ease of use, with a throw distance of up to 10 meters. However, some users report issues with the availability of spare parts and the need for modifications to prevent snow from clogging. The lack of height adjustment for snow ejection and the inconvenience of managing the power cord in snowy conditions are noted drawbacks. Despite these issues, it is considered a cost-effective option for home use, especially for those who regularly clear snow.

ya ya, German ambiguous quality! :)))
8 January 2016
in general, I have an aerator of this brand, and when it comes to build quality, there are no questions, everything has been confirmed, in a German way, "average sufficiency," everything is reliable but economical. It costs just under 100 dollars - it's worth it. However, if God forbid it breaks down, I'm sure I'll be cursing like others here in the reviews.
well, actually German quality, although they are very scolded that there is no retaining ring, I was preparing to buy it beforehand, so I opened it ... and the ring was, everything was in place - let's go! I paid a lot of attention to the rubber auger, because paving slabs without grooves would break either the corners or the snow blower, but it cleans like a broom, in fact, only of high quality, in general, I’m satisfied with the device
the first - you need to store it somewhere, you can’t throw it into the attic in the summer because 30 kg and dimensions are just a healthy bandura, and the second is a classic - dragging a wire in the snow is still a pleasure, though here you can adjust the release as you like because it greatly eliminates such troubles

usual model, nothing special

Open the left cover and check for the presence of the locking spring washer.
Haven't decided yet
It worked for no more than an hour and the auger stopped, opened the left cover and found a completely worn out small belt. After talking with the seller and comparing it with a new snow blower, it turned out that there was no spring washer on the electric motor shaft and the gear moved along the axis of the shaft. As a result, the belt worn out, no new ones, ordered to Germany, will arrive at the end of February. We remove the snow with a shovel. It’s a disgrace - we’ve collected equipment, but there are no consumables.

Before purchasing, I read a review about the lack of a stopper on the shaft, but with great regret I did not attach more importance to this, also the situation of snow with the belt shaft. There are no components or service either.

The purebred German AL-KO Snowline 46E has been on the shelves of many stores for more than a year in a row. During its time on the market, it has managed to win many fans thanks to its ease of use and high-quality assembly.

Gentle treatment

The heart of the snow blower houses a 2000W electric motor, which drives the mechanism for rotating the rubberized auger to capture snow. The dense rubber in the auger's construction is gentle on "delicate" surfaces: like paving that tends to scratch or, for example, synthetic coverings of garden paths. The downside of using a rubberized auger is its inability to break ice and hardened snow.

In one go

The snow blower clears a 46 cm wide strip of snow in one pass. The height of the snow cap can reach up to 30 cm. The snow collected by the auger is thrown through a chute that rotates within 180°, and its position is changed by turning a separate handle with a lock. The height of the throw cannot be adjusted, but that can be forgiven for this model.

Flexible adjustments

When working with the snow blower, you can even skip wearing gloves — the handle's foam rubber coating makes for a comfortable grip. In addition, its height is flexibly adjustable, adapting to the height of the snow blower's operator. A secondary advantage of the adjustable handle is the possibility of placing the model in a small spot for storage in a garage or shed. As a result, the AL-KO Snowline 46E can confidently be called one of the most preferable options in terms of "price/quality" ratio for homeowners with not very large private properties.

Handy life hack. Using an extension cord with a dark-colored cable significantly reduces the risk of not noticing the power cord in the snow while clearing the area of snowdrifts. Accordingly, the likelihood of the cord getting caught in the snow blower's auger mechanism is also reduced significantly.
