Video reviews

Keeping a tribute to traditions, Alpine car radios are recognizable among thousands of their peers by their branded features in appearance. The advanced UTE-92BT media receiver is no exception to this rule.

Diskless format

The "insides" of the model are placed in a spacious case — despite the lack of a CD drive, it turned out to be the same depth as that of disk colleagues in the shop. The radio tape recorder “produces” audio files from USB media connected via the front connector, or from a smartphone via Bluetooth. One of the key advantages of the receiver was the long-awaited support for working with 48 kHz / 24 bit FLAC files. Musical compositions in this format are revealed in all their glory, allowing you to hear hitherto inaudible details on good acoustics.

Arsenal of sound settings

Each pair of speakers connected to the car radio is subject to adjustment using a 3-way active crossover. It seems possible to operate with sound settings more flexibly by resorting to the services of a 9-band parametric equalizer. It is more convenient to perform this action from a connected smartphone through the Alpine Tunelt mobile application, since the single-line display of the model, frankly, is not very convenient to use. A time correction setting is provided for the user, specifying the distance to the speakers in centimeters or inches.

Depends on the mood

Among other advantages of the model — control from the buttons on the steering wheel and fine-tuning the backlight, carried out independently for each zone(buttons and screen). You can’t call the last feature intuitive, however, having understood the topic, it will not be difficult to adjust the colour of the front panel to the mood or the general style of the interior design of the car. It is not a shame to put the radio tape recorder into systems with worthy components and it will not let you down, delighting with rich bass, balanced mids and airy high frequencies when properly tuned.
