I work as an electrician at a car service station. The electrician's spot is, as always, in the corner near the engine mechanics and next to the tire-fitting area. It's a noisy place. For circuit testing, I had a homemade tester with sound and light indications for short circuits. It worked well for several years. But it became worn out and started malfunctioning. I decided to get a factory-made one. I chose this one because it has the largest LED signal eye. I watched a number of reviews and liked it. It has an impressive sound and flashes brightly for phase and hidden wiring detection. I liked it. Without watching the videos fully (short on time as always), I decided to buy it. I ordered it from an online store and received it. When I turned it on, I immediately discovered that in the circuit test and short circuit detection mode, there's sound indication but no light from the LED. In other modes, as shown in the review videos, it's present. Damn Chinese engineers—I hope you have some troubles, and that your water supply runs out for three days! Now I'm going to get an A3003. It's cheaper, and more importantly, it has light indication. I'll give this "masterpiece" to a radio enthusiast friend—it'll make him overjoyed. It's just right for his desktop work. Probably one of the best available in this standard. But there is one inexplicable major drawback that only the Chinese could have made. Lack of light indication when testing circuits.
