Astro-lovers and advanced observers who are short on funds to purchase an expensive telescope will have to fit the powerful Arsenal 130/900 EQ2 stargazer.

Newton reflector

At the head of the optical design of the model put Newton's reflector with an enlightened lens 130 mm in diameter. The impressive aperture is backed by a 1/6.9 aperture and a 900 mm focal length of the optics. With such parameters, the telescope is suitable for studying the lunar relief, the planets of the solar system and observing the brightest objects in deep space far from urban illumination.

Equatorial mount

The telescope is mounted on an EQ2 equatorial mount with aluminium tripod legs. It generally handles with the weight of the tube, but at high magnifications there are quite noticeable vibrations that complicate the focus process. A simple optical finder 5x24 in plastic design helps the telescope to aim at celestial objects.

Basic configuration

In the basic configuration, the model comes with two Plossl eyepieces (6.3 mm 142x, 17 mm 52x), the lenses of which are coated with an antireflection coating. Sometimes the package also includes a plastic 2x Barlow lens and a diagonal mirror (reflects the projected image). Without a mirror, the picture in the field of view will be inverted, which is why the telescope is not well suited for ground-based observations.
