Line ExpertCenter PN64

A line of desktop mini-computers for the business segment. The series nettops are based on a hardware platform based on Intel Alder Lake (12th Gen) or Intel Raptor Lake (13th Gen) processors. The most powerful configurations feature a 14-core Core i7 chip with the ability to process up to 20 data streams overnight. The graphics accelerator is built-in - Intel Iris Xe. Mini PCs from Asus support the installation of two SO-DIMM DDR5-4800 RAM modules (maximum capacity up to 32 GB).

Note that RAM is often purchased separately. It is also possible to place a pair of M.2 solid-state drives with a PCI-E 4.0 x4 interface and one 2.5" data storage with a SATA 6 Gb/s interface. A 2.5-gigabit LAN controller and a wireless communication module are responsible for network communications in the Asus ExpertCenter PN64 Wi-Fi 6E. Connectors on the front panel of the case are represented by two USB 3.2 gen2 ports, one USB C 3.2 gen2 and a 3.5 mm audio jack. At the rear there is a richer set of interfaces: a pair of HDMI v 2.0, one USB 3.2 gen2 and USB C 3.2 gen2, socket for a network cable and a configurable port. The models of the family are assembled in a kilogram-weight case with overall dimensions of 58x120x130 mm.

The agony of choice: which is better, a gaming laptop or a full-fledged system unit?We consider the advantages and disadvantages of both options in order to choose the most suitable option.
