A line of performant ultrabooks with high-quality 14-inch screens and good battery life. The manufacturer is positioned as a premium device that can meet the needs of demanding users. Differ in small dimensions (thickness 16 mm) and comfortable weight (1.25 kg). The stylish and durable metal case is entirely made of aluminium alloy. High computing performance is achieved through the use of the eighth generation Intel Core hardware platform.
Core i5/i7 processors have four physical cores and support Intel Hyper-Threading technology, which allows processing up to 8 threads of programme code simultaneously. The amount of RAM type LPDDR3-1866 from 8 to 16 GB is sufficient not only for browsers, any casual, multimedia and office applications, but also for "heavy" professional software packages. Asus ZenBook UX430UN laptop screens use only IPS-matrices with a resolution of 1920x1080, improved colour gamut and the highest possible viewing angles.
High battery life of these models (up to 9 hours) is provided by a capacious built-in Li-Ion battery. Laptops lack cable Ethernet ports, but are equipped with high-speed 802.11ac Wi-Fi modules. As drives, performant compact models of SSD drives are used. The communication and multimedia capabilities of the models are provided by high-quality HD-resolution webcams, built-in microphones and stereo speakers from Harman Kardon. There are three USB ports, including one USB 3.1 Type-C Gen with support for external displays.

This is a versatile ultrabook with the most modern hardware available today, excellent dimensions (only 16 mm thick), and lightweight (1250 g), allowing you to easily carry it with you. The machine is exceptionally versatile and can swiftly run almost any current software. Yes, some applications might find the physical size of the screen diagonal insufficient, but that's a matter of getting used to it. In any case, the resolution of the high-quality IPS matrix is an impressive 1920x1080 pixels for this size, providing a very clear and detailed image. High performance is ensured by the combination of a quad-core Core i5 processor from the latest eighth generation (up to 3.4 GHz), 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. The pre-installed Windows 10 Home operating system boots almost instantly and is very responsive. Office, browsers, multimedia, and more serious software also delight with high-speed performance. For communications, there is a high-speed wireless module supporting the most advanced standard (802.11ac), three USB ports (one USB 3.1 Type C), and a decent quality webcam. The battery is good, but autonomy heavily depends on the load - it lasts about 7 hours when working with documents. Purchasing a good ultrabook is indeed an expensive undertaking, and buying a powerful Asus ZenBook is definitely going to cost over 1000 EUR. It's a significant amount, and among laptops, you could get noticeably better hardware for the price, but only at the cost of much worse size and weight metrics. You might also complain about the cooling system, which is designed for variable loads and struggles with consistently high ones. During prolonged CPU-intensive tasks, like video transcoding, it heats up to critical levels (above 80 degrees) fairly quickly and starts to throttle. The noise from the turbofan becomes more than noticeable in such situations. |
