Outdated Product
Pretty accurate weight and size pneumatic model of the Makarov pistol. Dimensions, weight and striking resemblance make it possible to use it to work with personnel to gain skills in handling military weapons. It is worth noting that a replaceable gas canister and a clip for 13 charges are combined into a single metal block and are placed in the pistol grip in the same way as with a real combat PM. The pistol weighs 730 grams, the caliber of the smooth barrel is 4.5 mm.

How to choose an air pistol?Recommendations for choosing and using an air pistol for professional growth and sports entertainment
A great thing for sports exercises
20 December 2021
I purchased it only for pistol exercises to add variety to sports exercises. As a pistol, it's a very cool thing at a rather steep price; the accuracy is only up to 10m and only with the first two magazines. After that, due to the decreasing pressure of the cartridge, the accuracy and range drop.
Like a combat one: if you bore out the barrel and erase the markings. Purchased only for sports exercises, for ambiance (for approximate size and weight to the combat one)
Insert the clip into the gun strictly vertically, there is a risk of the balls popping out with subsequent jamming of the magazine (solved by: removing the grip panel followed by drilling out the ball itself with a dental drill).

A good choice for those who want to have an "almost real Makara"
22 September 2019
A pneumatic replica of the legendary "Makar" from a combat weapon manufacturer. Unlike other plastic, metal-plastic, and silumin "BB shooters" from other manufacturers, THIS THING is made of iron, sturdy, with an awesome lifespan. Partial disassembly is ABSOLUTELY identical to the combat prototype. I wouldn't be surprised if some parts are interchangeable with the combat version. Full-size magazine, which holds a cartridge and 13 BBs. The hidden tension screw doesn't spoil the look, and loading the magazine is very convenient if you have a bottle with a nozzle. The follower is simply pulled down with a fingernail and fixed in a special notch. The BBs just "flow" through the bottle's "nozzle" into the magazine hole. Release the follower and - DONE! The slide stop is functional, but it can only be activated manually. The safety also works "like the real thing": if the hammer was cocked before activating, a safety release occurs, blocking the slide from being pulled back, and allowing for a double-action shot. The unit I got my hands on shoots decently "out of the box," without any "modding." The only thing I did was adjust the sight to standard combat, i.e., by tapping the rear sight. It reliably fires 4 magazines from one cartridge, hitting a beer can from 10 meters, further accuracy depends on luck.
In hand, it feels like a combat weapon, if only not for the rattle of the magazine in the handle. REAL effort is required to cock the slide and hammer since the return spring seems to be taken from a combat prototype and has different diameters of the outer coils. The combat spring seems to be borrowed from it as well.
Genuine blued steel, muzzle cut corresponding to the combat caliber, hidden set screw for the canister, authentic magazine fixation, and partial disassembly similar to a combat pistol.
The standard rear sight in the groove allows the pistol to be adjusted for accurate shooting.
The trigger is precise and informative: when you pull the trigger with the hammer cocked, you clearly feel the free play until the sear engages; then, there is a relatively short trigger pull with slightly increased effort, and - a shot.
When firing in double-action mode, it is also clear what happens and when.
The simplicity and durability of the design.
Absence of blowback. Although, in this steel version, I can hardly imagine the implementation of this feature. In principle, I really can't point out any OBVIOUS DRAWBACKS.

"Pneumat" Baikal MP-654K is produced at the same factory as the "adult" Makarov pistols. Moreover, the appearance, mechanical strength, workmanship and assembly of all parts of the weapon are identical to the original.

"Real" look

If you put a real Makarov pistol and the model in question side by side, you can’t immediately distinguish them — the hidden clamping screw gives the pneumatic version of the weapon a more “real” look. To complete the similarity, it even has a decorative magazine ejection lever. The model is made entirely of metal. The exception to the rule here is the plastic grip on the handle in a recognizable brown colour scheme.

Double acting mechanism

The trigger mechanism of the pistol allows self-cocking or pre-cocking. On guard against unintentional shots under the thumb of the right hand, the lever of the non-automatic fuse is placed. In a situation where the pistol is already cocked, setting it to safety will cause the hammer to be safely released.

Single detachable block

The 13-round magazine, valve, and carbon dioxide cartridge form a single metal block placed in the pistol grip. Ammunition for the model are steel balls of 4.5 mm caliber. One CO₂ bottle is enough for a full shooting of 6-7 magazines. The bullets leave the gun barrel with an initial flight speed of 110 m/s and easily pierce the thick glass of champagne bottles at a distance of 10-15 m. from recreational shooting.
