Wireless charging for the mass market

The Chinese company BASEUS in the last year broke into the forefront of the accessory market and as soon as the fashion for wireless charging came, it was one of the first to start producing mass models. In particular, their Dual Wireless Charger was one of the most affordable 2-seat models. Six months later, it was followed by a “simplified” model with slightly less power and a price tag one third lower than its predecessor.

Transparent housing made of wear-resistant plastic

The first thing that catches your eye when looking at the Simple 2in1 Wireless Charger is its unusual transparent front panel, made of tempered glass and a special aluminium alloy. The top of the landing pad is covered with a layer of non-slip silicone for better stability. This is not to say that this is an application for an award for the best design, but it looks at least interesting. The charge indication is signaled by a small LED on the side, which does not light up too brightly and does not interfere if charging, for example, is on the bedside table.

Charged twice

Each of the two wireless charging coils has its own power parameters, so visually the area of the accessory is divided into two zones. You can also charge a second smartphone at the headphone and smartwatch space, as the 15W output power is shared equally between the two charges. In fact, visually they differ only for convenience. Also, the accessory received high-quality electronics with a modern controller that protects against short circuits, overcharging and other troubles. Other than that, it's a pretty standard wireless charger that just gets the job done.
