BBK MA-880S

The Chinese corporation BBK Electronics has been present on the world market for several decades as a manufacturer of functional video and audio equipment, and electronics for telecommunications. Computer speakers MA-880S are interesting for their technical capabilities and affordable price — about $ 90.

Practical simplicity

The speaker system is installed on a table or shelves, but it will not work to place the speakers far from each other due to short wires. Wall mounting is not provided.

I was pleased with the material used to make the satellites — like a subwoofer, this is MDF, which allows you to avoid vibration, which usually negatively affects the sound quality at high volume levels. The control is also conveniently implemented — on the front panel of the subwoofer we traditionally have a minimal set, on the wireless remote control — setting the overall volume and channels separately, an equalizer, a mute button and the Standby mode. The results of the settings are displayed on a large intuitive display located on the front panel of the subwoofer.

User comfort

The speaker system with a nominal total power of 150 W will especially appeal to gamers, as it will provide immersion in the gaming atmosphere, both at home and in the gaming room of a computer club. The subwoofer in the bass — reflex case accounts for 50 watts, the remaining 100 are evenly distributed between the satellites.

USB connectors, an SD card reader and an FM tuner will be a nice addition. But you can’t play with headphones — there is no output for them. The sound of the system does not have a wide frequency balance. The sub does not work out too deeply and is accentuated, but things are better with midrange / treble due to two bands.

In general, the BBK MA-880S is even too good for its price, and those minor flaws that it has will obviously not spoil the impression of buying it.
