Large milling depth

An inexpensive and powerful milling cutter model from Bort is suitable for beginner carpenters. It has a rather large (as in professional models) cutting depth of 60 mm, which makes it easy to cut locks in entrance and interior doors. At the same time, the depth of milling can be adjusted using a clamping rod located on the unit body. When the carbon brushes are worn out, the gearbox is automatically switched off, preventing its breakage.

Smooth entry to work

Of particular note is the soft start function of the milling cutter. When starting, the device begins to gain momentum gradually, without “twitching”, thereby providing a more accurate cut without deviating from the set parameter. The speed of rotation of the cutter can be adjusted in six positions from 8000 to 30000 rpm. However, some craftsmen note that a significant backlash is felt at maximum speed, which makes it extremely difficult to achieve accuracy in work. In addition, there is a rather short cord — only 2 metres.

Support for different diameter collets

Collets with a diameter of 6, 8 and 12 mm allow you to work with equipment of different sizes. To install large cutters with a diameter of 12 mm, slightly loosen the locking nut on the collet. It is necessary to release the fixing nut holding the collet, and then the cutter with a diameter of 12 mm will easily enter. Included with the router is a straight guide that allows you to mill wood material clearly in a straight line. But there is no case for transportation, which is a significant disadvantage.
