Electric built-in hob with 4 burners, equipped with hi-light heaters and convenient touch controls. It has a classic design with a stainless steel frame, overall dimensions 58x51 cm and embedding size 56x49 cm. The manufacturer positions it as a middle-class product with extended (due to high-tech control) functionality Unlike massive electric heaters based on heating elements, hi-light tape elements provide a fundamentally higher heating rate and cool quickly. It takes only 5 seconds to heat up the burner, which is important if the user wants to quickly start cooking. The Bosch PKF 645 FP1 hob features a hard and scratch-resistant HighSpeed glass-ceramic worktop. Thanks to its impeccable smoothness, it looks spectacular and is easily cleaned of any dirt. There are three conventional burne...rs (2x1200 W, 14.5 cm; 1x1450 W, 18.0 cm) and one expandable, so-called double-circuit (800/2100 W, 120/210 mm). Touch control DirectSelect with digital display allows you to adjust the operating parameters and power with just one finger. There is a timer with an off function for each hotplate, two-position residual heat indicators, a child lock and a restart function with restoration of settings.

Comfort and style

The model belongs to the Bosch Serie 6 (comfort) series, the devices of which are aimed at convenience during work. The hob is not cheap, but taking into account all its functions, this price tag is quite justified. But just as a person is greeted by clothes, so no merits of technology will be appreciated if its appearance is unattractive. The Bosch PKF 645 FP2 has no problems with this: a durable 58x51 cm panel is made of HighSpeed glass-ceramic and has a rich black colour. It is framed by a stainless steel frame. There are ambiguous opinions about this element: the frame slightly spoils the appearance of a solid, perfect even piece of glass ceramics and makes further cleaning difficult, but still it has more advantages. This edging protects the edges from chips and scratches and prevents spilled liquid from spilling onto the countertop or floor. That's why Bosch has put reliability first.

On the front of the device is the DirectSelect touch control panel, which is highly rated for its convenience. Firstly, it offers as many as 17 power levels to find the optimal settings for any dish. Secondly, all these modes are arranged in one line on the panel, so that only one touch is needed to select one of them: you no longer have to repeatedly click on the arrows, pluses or minuses. The control panel has a child protection function and the ability to lock for 30 seconds — Cleaning pause is needed to quickly wipe the stain. At the same time, the re Start function remembers the specified settings and restores them after a pause.

Extended functionality

At your disposal you get 4 burners: two standard ones have a diameter of 14.5 cm, the third is designed for large dishes with a bottom diameter of 18 cm, and the fourth zone is double-circuit, that is, it consists of two circles with a diameter of 12 and 21 cm for different sizes of pans or pans. The power of the burners varies from 0.8 to 2.1 kW, but Powerboost will help you heat food or boil water even faster than at maximum power. However this mode may not work for long.

Of course, it was not without a timer with a maximum value of 99 minutes for each burner separately or for all together. A household timer simply counts the time, playing the role of, so to speak, a kitchen alarm clock, and a regular timer, after the set time has elapsed, beeps and turns off the heat.

We control costs

Taking care of your safety, the manufacturer has added not only the usual auto-off system for long-term operation of the burners and residual heat indicators, but also a main switch that turns off all heating zones in one fell swoop. And for those who are used to controlling their expenses, there is an electricity consumption indicator that shows how many kilowatts have run up since the moment they were turned on.
