Design

The toaster of the German manufacturer Bosch will not hit the family low-cost too much, but it will be an excellent helper in the kitchen. It belongs to the CompactClass line, although you can’t call it too compact — the device is not small, but not large either. But there are several colours to choose from: in addition to classic white, you can also choose Bosch TAT 3A014 in red and light green Bosch TAT 3A016. However the red case is more easily soiled and the settled dust is clearly visible on it.

The case is made of high-quality plastic, which does not heat up during operation and does not burn your hands. And the characteristic smell is barely audible at the first use and quickly disappears, especially if you follow the recommendations for users and run the toaster “idle” at maximum mode for the first few times.

The length of the cord is 1 metre, there are fasteners at the bottom to roll it up. There is also a crumb tray, which is very convenient: it is completely removed from the body and is easy to clean. However you still cannot do without the crumbs remaining inside, so it is better to periodically clean the device with a brush or other means.

Power and features

The power of the toaster is quite high — 980 W, so the bread is fried quickly: on the medium mode — 1.5 minutes, on the maximum — 2.5. In total there are 6 degrees of toasting: the first will slightly dry the toast, the medium ones are perfect for toasting white bread, and the sixth for brown bread. However the latter will have to be sent to the toaster a second time to get a golden crisp.

The Bosch TAT 3A011 has rather wide compartments, where even thick or sloppy slices of bread can fit. Auto-centering of toasts is responsible for uniform heating: the cloves inside wrap around the slice so that it is located in the centre and at the same distance from the heating elements. But there are problems with toasted bread, which, it would seem, is perfect for this device: the bottom turns out to be fried, and the top is not to that extent. So you have to either fry the other side, or use, for example, a loaf, the pieces of which are perfectly prepared.

Ready-made toasts do not fly out, but are automatically pushed out with a light, quiet click. To get small slices without burning your fingers, you can use a high rise. In addition, the appliance has a grill for heating rolls, croissants or ready-made toasts.
