"Smart" epilator
The epilator, though not cheap, but with the prefix Smart, that is, with a "smart" function. It consists in controlling the pressure on the skin: if you apply too much force, the indicator on the body lights up in red. This means that you need to loosen your grip so as not to injure the skin.
Visually, the Braun Silk-epil 9 SensoSmart 9700 has a fairly wide head with 40 tweezers, which means that it captures a large area and reduces epilation time. In addition, the head is floating, it follows the contours of the body and removes hair even in difficult places (knees, folds, armpits). And the backlight will help not to miss the hairs in poor lighting. However it is very bright, so light hairs, on the contrary, can be overlooked. There are two speeds to choose from: maximum for effective epilation and slower for getting used to the device and sensitive areas.
Three nozzles
The epilator comes with three attachments. The first is massage, which is designed to reduce discomfort during epilation. But some netizens note that with such a nozzle, the procedure lasts longer, since the tweezers do not fit so tightly to the skin due to the massage rollers and pull out less hair. Therefore, the second nozzle is more effective: it is a "plug" with a large opening, which ensures maximum contact with the skin. It is advised to use it when epilating the armpits and bikini area. And the third attachment for spot epilation is designed to remove facial hair.
Also in the kit you will find a bag for storing and transporting the device and a brush for cleaning nozzles and tweezers.
Epilation in water
The body of the Braun Silk-epil 9 SensoSmart 9700 is water resistant, so it can be used for both dry and wet epilation in the shower or bath. In the latter case, the process is less painful, and steamed skin becomes less sensitive. After using the cap and head of the epilator, you can rinse it under running water.
battery life
The epilator runs on a built-in battery without being tied to a power outlet. One charge is enough for up to 50 minutes of work, and if you are already an experienced user and quickly cope with epilation, you can forget about recharging for a few procedures. It's also handy when traveling. It takes a couple of hours to fully charge the battery. The fact that the device is time to connect or disconnect from the outlet is signaled by an indicator on the case.
