Blade with titanium coating
A leading American knife manufacturer offers fishermen the BUCK Silver Creek, a clumsy, long-bladed model that will be a good helper in cutting the catch. The sirloin profile blade with a smooth blade has a butt thickness of only 1.9 mm and a length of 162 mm. It is made from advanced 420 Japanese stainless steel (420j2), which is only marginally superior to the original steel in terms of wear resistance and edge retention. Nevertheless, high anti-corrosion properties make this steel quite suitable for fishing, and an additional advantage is the ease of straightening the blade in field conditions. Another advantage of the blade, which slightly compensates for the shortcomings of the material, is the matte titanium coating of the blade, which gives it strength and resistance to wear.
Composite handle with rubber grip
Stainless steel safety stop handle made of glass fibre reinforced polypropylene. The TPE thermoplastic rubber outer anti-slip coating forms a relief under the fingers for a comfortable grip of the knife. In the “tail” of the handle there is a plate with a hole for attaching the strap, and the knife comes with a plastic sheath with drain holes and a built-in clip for wearing on a belt, made by injection molding. In the same series, the manufacturer produces a folding model with an elongated filet blade (184 mm) BUCK Silver Creek Filet. The knife is backed by a lifetime manufacturer's warranty covering any defect in materials and workmanship, except in the event of normal wear and tear, misuse, or design modifications.
