Model overview based on user reviews
The Casio G-Shock GA-100C-4A is a highly durable and reliable wristwatch, designed for those who need a robust timepiece for outdoor activities and sports. Its shockproof and water-resistant features make it ideal for adventurous environments, such as mountains or the sea. The watch is lightweight despite its large size, and the plastic case and strap ensure comfort without irritating the skin. It offers a range of electronic functions, including a stopwatch, alarm, and calendar, although some users find the settings complex. The backlight primarily illuminates the digital indicators, which some may find insufficient. Overall, the watch is praised for its accuracy and reliability, making it a great choice for those seeking a dependable and affordable timepiece.

good model, liked it
30 August 2016
I work in the Nikopol territorial department of fish protection and I'm on the water almost daily. Choosing the watch I wear to work is not the simplest task. Until now, I've made do with cheap models from unknown Chinese manufacturers and treated them with the "Stopped working? Throw it away!" approach. But I wanted reliability and confidence, which is why I bought this Japanese watch.
The most important thing in the design of these watches is their durability and protection from shocks, water and even magnetic fields. As for the last point, by the way, I can’t even imagine places where there are such magnetic fields that could damage quartz watches. But, perhaps, such situations happen. The water resistance guarantees water tightness even when diving under water, and the shock resistance is such that the watch can be thrown against a concrete wall with a full swing. Of course, I won’t mock the clock like that, but what I saw on YouTube videos is impressive. Despite the rather large size of the case, the watch is not heavy and sits perfectly on the hand. The main material of the case is plastic, the bracelet is also made of plastic (only softer and more flexible). The green arrows and the green tint of the LCD indicator look unusual and stylish. In fact, these are two independent mechanisms with synchronization. There are many different electronic functions from a stopwatch, reminders and a banal calendar, to such advanced things as calculating the speed of movement. But the most important thing is that they have an accurate move. In two months they have gone ahead by less than a third of a minute.
Not bright enough backlight. In fact, it normally illuminates only the digital indicators. Complex settings, difficult control of the stopwatch.
I hesitated for a long time before purchasing, but in the end, I'm glad I chose this watch.

I've been using the watch for a relatively short time, but I've already formed my opinion. The model is decent and fully justifies its purpose as a watch for outdoor activities and sports. Honestly, before purchasing them, I hesitated for quite a while. As it often happens, the decisive factor was the price — this Casio is relatively inexpensive. In the end, I'm glad I made this choice. The watch completely satisfies me. I'm even confident that they will last for more than a year.
Sometimes, nothing is frightening at all. With them, you can confidently go to the mountains or the sea. Shockproof and very reliable. I tried diving with them. Not deep, though. But even such a minor test they passed excellently. They look quite good on the wrist. The strap is plastic, but it doesn't irritate the skin. There aren't many settings and additional features, but there is the possibility to adjust the watch to your liking.
The watch completely satisfies. I find no drawbacks.
