The Linksys Compact Wireless-G Broadband Router combines the power of three devices in one small package. First, it acts as a built-in wireless access point that provides high-speed connection to the network of Wireless-G (802.11g at 54 Mbps) and Wireless-B (802.11b at 11 Mbps) devices. There is also a built-in 4-port 10/100 Ethernet switch operating in full duplex mode to connect Ethernet devices over a wired network. You can connect PCs directly or connect additional hubs and switches to create a network of the desired size. For data protection and privacy, the Wireless-G Broadband Router can encrypt all data transmitted over the wireless network using WEP or the industry standard WPA Personal Encryption. The router can act as a DHCP server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your computers from unauthorized access and most known attacks over the Internet, and supports VPN pass-through. With a setup utility accessed through a web browser, setup is completed in minutes. The small form factor easily finds a place in any home and on any desk.
