On the downside, there's the lid valve, which over time has started to leak a bit, probably because the rubber that acts as a seal has slightly compressed. Also, if you shake it empty, something rattles inside, which is odd since its construction consists of two steel flasks, one inside the other, with a completely sealed space between them; how anything could get in there, I don’t know. The included cup is made of stainless steel, with an insert made of black plastic similar to the valve. The mechanism itself is quite simple. You press the central button to open the valve, and press the ring button to close the valve. The buttons are spring-loaded and make a characteristic clicking sound.
