It cooks a variety of porridges beautifully. And it turns out so delicious that trying to replicate it on a gas stove in a pot would be quite a challenge. It's convenient that the cooking process is almost fully automated. The only exception is that you need to stir it regularly, you can't skip that. It can also be used to cook vegetables, prepare vegetarian and meat stews, as well as ragouts. Spaghetti and pasta cook perfectly, and you can stop the cooking at any convenient moment. We also occasionally make soups in it, but without sautéing. The bowl of this model is huge, a whole 5 liters, though we only use up to two liters at most. The control is convenient and electronic, with 12 cooking programs and a regular reheating option, which, by the way, we use almost more often than all the other modes. It operates very quietly, so you can use it at any time. When I unpacked it, I was quite disappointed - it had a strong, unpleasant chemical smell. I had to boil it 5-6 times with water and baking soda solution. Even then, the exterior parts still smelled for 2-3 weeks, but thankfully, the smell didn’t transfer to the food. It’s possible to cook in it, but the problem is that the lid gets splattered and cleaning it thoroughly is almost impossible. The non-stick coating isn’t very non-stick, so stirring the contents is necessary, and while with something like buckwheat you don’t need to do it often, with other grains or when cooking peas, issues can definitely arise. I usually set a timer on my smartphone, so I don’t forget. )) |
