Dewang X4

Dewang's plastic craft pen is available on the market in two versions: the white cap version uses PCL plastic as raw material, which melts at 70-100 °C, and the black tip version uses ABS and PLA plastic (they need heated up to about 200°C).

Simple control

The model is assembled on a plastic frame, which is covered with a durable aluminium case. Dewang X4 fits into the hand like a glove. The entire process of controlling the operation of the pen is assigned to three buttons in its equipment: the settings key and the two-position switch for automatic plastic feed (forward / backward). In temperature selection mode, the last control is used to manually enter the desired temperature of the melting element.

Screen

The operating parameters of the pen are displayed on a small display. In particular, it shows the type of plastic used, the selected speed of its supply and the current temperature value, along with the maximum. The model supports work with plastic threads with a diameter of 1.75 mm, which at the outlet of the nozzle turns into a thin and even line of 0.6 mm in diameter.

In any conditions

The pen is powered via the USB cable, i.e. it can work both when connected to a laptop and in the field, borrowing energy from an external battery. In some cases, the package includes an adapter for working from a 230 V network. However, its absence should not be upset — any similar power supply for charging mobile phones with an output voltage of 5 V will fit its role. The younger generation will also like the pen, and teenagers, and the ability to select the temperature mode and the function of automatic plastic feeding turns it into a serious tool for realizing creative potential.
