The very case when the ersatz looks better than the original
15 May 2017
To be honest, the idea of making an electric fireplace and not bothering with the real one didn't sound right to me. A natural fireplace is real natural warmth, and not some lousy fan heater. But when the master began to draw up an estimate for the work on arranging the fireplace and showed me the first careful estimates, I had to change my mind.
In fact, before getting acquainted with the products of the Irish company Dimplex, I had completely different ideas about electric fireplaces. And, I must admit that this device simply turned them over. Of course, this is only an imitation of fire, but it is so beautiful that it looks even better and more elegant than real firewood in a real hearth. Such a cinematic effect, which in reality, in a home environment is perceived quite naturally. In addition, such an electric fireplace has a lot of advantages compared to the real one. 1. It does not require firewood. Everyone who has ever harvested firewood for a real fireplace understands me well, because you can’t put the first log that comes across in a fireplace. The logs must be dry and preferably of a certain size, that is, no more than. 2. Such a fireplace does not produce smoke. Whatever the thrust, but the smoke from a real fireplace still gets into the room, albeit in small quantities. 3. This electric fireplace has a quiet fan heater with convenient power control. Regulating the heat output of a real fireplace is much more difficult.
Clear scratches were found on the details of the portal. Now I’m thinking, either they were damaged during the transporters, or the workers messed up during installation, or they arrived from the factory in this form. I had to carefully paint over with black varnish, it turned out like a good idea.
Uninteresting when not working

The fgon in the hearth looks realistic.
The portal itself looks like a TV stand. When it’s turned off, it’s polished like a piano. Scratches appear quickly.
