The dream of having a countryside house came true a year ago. This happened in large part due to the well-known crisis events, as real estate prices plummeted, and I bought a small but two-story house, across the road from which a pine forest begins, all located 25 kilometers from the city. I must say that I'm not fond of maintenance chores; I simply like that there is always an opportunity to put things aside and go away for a couple of days to the real countryside, where due to the rugged terrain not all mobile networks work. The house renovation lasted exactly a year and was completed at the beginning of April. I installed the fireplace on the designer's recommendation, who also chose the brand. And so, when there was that very "great April snowstorm of 2017," I happened to be at the house and remembered the electric fireplace that I had not yet tested. The first impression just shattered all expectations. One question kept spinning in my head – HOW? How is it possible to create such a beautiful effect of natural wood burning? Speaking of wood – the smoldering logs are crafted so skillfully that at first, you almost forget that this is purely an electric fireplace. It's only later that I read about the marvels of modern LED lighting and the electromechanical principle of flame imitation, but at that moment, I was simply enchanted. I must say, the fireplace turned out to be not only a very beautiful decorative element but also an effective heater. With the remote control, you can not only change the "flame intensity" but also activate two fan heater modes, providing power of 1 and 2 kW. For the first 5-7 hours of operation, the fan heater gave a noticeable technical smell. I understand everything, but the fireplace, in principle, should not smell like some kind of overheated oil and hot insulation. Luckily the smell has dissipated. |
