How to choose an air conditionerThe main criteria to consider when choosing an air conditioner

What is the difference between a cheap air conditioner and an expensive one?Is it worth paying more when buying an air conditioner? Let's take a look at the pros and cons.
Model overview based on user reviews
The Electrolux EACS-07HAT/N3 is a stylish and modern wall-mounted split-system air conditioner, ideal for rooms up to 22 m². It features a well-readable glowing temperature indicator, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The unit excels in cooling, capable of quickly cooling a 15.5 m² room in just 15 minutes, though it requires extended operation to cool furniture and walls. It also functions as an economical auxiliary heater during fall and spring, thanks to its low electricity consumption. The air conditioner operates quietly, especially in night mode, allowing for undisturbed sleep. However, the remote control's small buttons may be challenging for those with poor eyesight, despite its convenient backlight for nighttime use. Overall, this Electrolux model is a reliable choice, offering good performance at a reasonable price.
Pros
Cons
I bought the air conditioner for my parents. They don’t really understand these things at all, so I took this purchase upon myself. Electrolux is a proven and reliable brand, about which you can safely say "take it – and you won't go wrong", so I didn't spend much time choosing. It seemed suitable in terms of performance, and the price was reasonable too. At first glance, it appears to be an ordinary air conditioner, but when you turn it on and the well-readable glowing temperature indicator numbers appear on the indoor unit, the air conditioner immediately gains +50 in style and modern appearance. It performs its main task of cooling brilliantly. It can "freeze" a small 15.5 square meter room in just 15 minutes. Admittedly, if you turn it off, the air quickly warms back up, but that's normal; cooling down furniture and walls requires several hours of operation and does not depend on the model. It also does a decent job of heating the air. While it can't match the power of a fan heater, it can be used as an auxiliary heater in the fall/spring, especially since this heating is very economical due to low electricity consumption. Another important aspect is the low noise level of this device. At full fan speed, it is, of course, quite audible, but at the minimum setting or in night mode, you can sleep next to it without any disturbance. The board was very small. The parents' eyesight is no longer very good, so you have to wear glasses to see the screen and not miss the small buttons. But the remote control has a normal backlight, due to which it is convenient to use it in the dark, at night. |
