I'll clarify immediately. I bought the reel in Sevastopol, with delivery from Ukraine. I ordered a 1000S, but they sent a 1000. The pros and cons were evident right away. The reel didn't work, it couldn't even spool the line. I haven't disassembled the mechanism, might replace it. Not worth the money. Instead of one spool, they could have included a spare of a different depth. The drag system is poor. The lack of reverse should not be an issue. 1. Weight. 2. Appearance. 3. No wobbling. 4. Smooth operation. 5. Knob material. Something like soft touch. 6. Two washer-gaskets included. 1. Knob play (crunchy). 2. Transverse handle play, though barely noticeable (overshadowed by knob play), is irritating. 3. Spool longitudinal play is up to 1mm when the drag is fully tightened. 4. The drag can be forgotten. The spool wobbles like a rag, and the drag hasn't even "engaged." Adjusting the drag introduces transverse spool play. 5. No spare spool included. just bought Favorite Hurricane 1000S |
