I work in security for a private company, and our head of security issued these flashlights to us. The area isn’t small; the perimeter is about one and a half kilometers long, and when patrolling the perimeter, these flashlights perform excellently. The most impressive aspects were the range and power of the light beam, and the body design. The brightness is phenomenal, and it's all produced by a single LED. However, the LED is not Chinese but a special American Cree XM-L LED. I checked its specifications. It turns out, with proper cooling, it can operate continuously for over five years. The brightness can be adjusted with a button separate from the power switch, which is convenient, though at first, I often confused them. But they are designed in such a way that they can be pressed even in winter with gloves on. There are four main brightness modes: Turbo, High, Mid, and Low. Most often, we use the Mid mode during patrols, and High less often. The need for greater brightness is rare. It can operate in these modes for a very long time. The nickel-metal hydride batteries with a capacity of 1500 mAh (which was also thoughtfully considered by the management) last for 9-10 days. And it turns out there is a five-year (!) manufacturer’s warranty on it. I almost forgot to mention the body. The body is made of high-quality anodized aluminum and has a convenient and ergonomic shape. It fits perfectly in hand. The grip has fine knurling, so it won't slip, even from wet hands. It is well-protected against water ingress, and rain doesn't bother it. It's a bit heavy. The flashlight is somewhat heavy, after all, 8 batteries plus the casing make it noticeably so. The power and mode switch buttons feel similar, and at first, you might confuse them. It would be wise to make their shape and size different. |
Phoenix is the Mercedes of headlights! No comment needed... powerful, long-range, reliable. The flashlight does not come with a belt holster. There is no lanyard in the front part of the flashlight (like the TK61) for attaching a shoulder strap. The price is clearly unreasonably high, especially for the 900Lm models. use Fenix TK41 month or more i recommend it should buy |
