Good for short people and processing small areas of prepared land
6 May 2019
It’s hard to get used to this product after the classic bayonet shovel with a wooden handle: the handle is on the end (you don’t know how to grab the shovel), the curved shape (unusual slope). If the handle is a matter of habit, then difficulties arose with the slope. Since the shovel is vertical, the hard ground (dry or with an abundance of grass), into which the shovel is usually driven with the foot, cannot be processed. But loose, well-groomed digging is easy. What actually helps the curved design, which works like a lever. But not large volumes - the blade of the shovel is not wide and it will be easy to dig potatoes in the grandmother's garden, but for a long time. The second drawback of curvature is the difficulty in uprooting bushes, small trees - roots, as well as hard ground, the shovel does not take, since it is directed at an angle. For a height of 172 cm, the shovel seems short. I think for a height of about 168 will be more comfortable. But not for fragile girls - the model is quite weighty (again, a comparison with a wooden one). But this is due to the one-piece cast construction, which should extend the life of the shovel. For example, past blades (no name) broke during the season, and this shovel has a 5-year warranty. Let's see how it will actually be in a couple of seasons.
Solid, ergonomic
Short, heavy, difficult to "chop" roots
