Model overview based on user reviews
The Forte FG 3500 generator is a medium-duty gasoline generator with a rated power of 2.5 kW, suitable for powering household appliances during power outages. It features a 4-stroke engine with a manual starter, though an electric starter version is available. The generator's copper winding and automatic voltage regulator ensure stable performance, but it lacks protection against stator overheating and has a tendency for RPM fluctuations under load. Users appreciate its compact size and portability, making it ideal for small households or construction teams needing reliable power on-site. However, the generator can be noisy and heavy for one person to handle. Fuel consumption is moderate, with a 15L tank providing up to 11.5 hours of operation. While some users experienced issues with RPM stability and component durability, others found it a cost-effective solution for occasional use, especially in areas with unreliable power supply. Overall, the Forte FG 3500 is a practical choice for those needing a basic, affordable generator, but it may require occasional maintenance and adjustments.

I don’t recommend it without an e-starter, women are clearly unable to handle it, after 6 hours the revs started to drop, after 7 hours the stator winding burned out, but in general the Chinese device has a declared power rating of 2.5 kv and on the AVR it says 2kv 4 Amp engine is a Chinese 168F copy for Honda.
The stator and armature windings are made of 0.8 mm copper
There is no protection against stator overheating, decent fuel consumption, shut-off needle valve made of aluminium is susceptible to corrosion. There is no electric starter, the fuel valve is in the trash.

A great option for a construction team at country sites
30 August 2016
I am engaged in repair and construction work and every spring I assemble a team to work as fully and comprehensively as possible. It is clear that it is easier and more convenient to work on your own, but the client, as a rule, needs the services of diverse specialists, so the team is more versatile and can cope with turnkey tasks. Naturally, you have to work in a variety of conditions: from comfortable city apartments to suburban facilities without heating and power supply. We cannot do without a power tool in our work, and if a screwdriver can run on battery power, then no batteries will be enough for a rotary hammer. Therefore, in the spring of this year, I bought this mobile and fairly powerful gasoline generator. Now, when working on out-of-town facilities, our team has not only guaranteed energy, but also normal lighting.
Relatively small dimensions 65x47x47 (with a margin) and a weight of 64 kg. let me just put it in the back of my pickup truck and get it to work quickly. It can hold long-term power of 2-2.3 kW. On the larger one it is decently heated, so I prefer not to risk it. An important point is the inductance of the load. So, for example, two powerful perforators (800 W and a kilowatt) can be easily powered from it, but you need to make sure that they do not start at the same time. Since the starting currents can be 2-3 times higher than the rated ones, then with a simultaneous start, an overload occurs and the generator can go into protection. Quite economical on gasoline and consumes no more than 1.6 liters per hour. A full tank is enough for almost 9 hours of work.
64 kilograms of weight for one person is a bit too much. You can do it, but you need to do it skillfully, otherwise one newcomer in my team pulled his back. Noise decently. It is advisable to clean away from the place of work, otherwise in an hour the head will fall apart.
in my opinion it's a normal generator.

And anyway, the price is ok, if you use it 2-6 times a year, then why pay more.
Forte FG3500E with a starter starts well and for a long time. Acceptable in weight but not to carry far. Fuel consumption is normal.
Worked for about 7 hours and then the RPM started fluctuating under nominal load, causing the tuner to burn out.
Around 10 hours, a thin spring slipped off and the RPMs started to drop significantly under load.
I put the spring back but without load or with a load of 300-500 watts, everything is fine, but when I turn on 1300 watts, the RPM drops and does not rise back up. The motor does not stall at these RPMs but it shakes. Previously, the regulator would adjust the RPMs automatically, but now it doesn't, and I can't figure out the reason yet.

Medium Duty Gasoline Generator

The Forte FG 3500 generator with a rated power of 2.5 kW and two 230 V sockets can “pull” a couple of fairly powerful household appliances at once (for example, a refrigerator and a gas boiler or an electric kettle plus lighting throughout the house). These characteristics are enough to comfortably wait until the repairmen fix problems with the power grid. The automatic voltage regulator will make sure that the connected equipment receives the current of exactly the quality that it needs for normal operation. In addition to conventional sockets, the generator has 12 V terminals, from which you can recharge the car battery.

A simple motor with not the simplest character

The engine (which, by the way, is a Chinese copy of one of the Honda engines) lacks stars from the sky, but it cannot be called weak either. He has 6.5 "horses". The engine starts the old fashioned way, with the help of a cable, but you can also buy a version with an electric starter (it is a little more expensive). Consumption of 95th gasoline is moderate (1.3 L / h). The stock of fuel that fits in the tank is enough for 11.5 hours.

The motor works well and rumbles not too loudly, but it has a capricious character. Sometimes, for no reason at all, speed can jump. This behavior is easily eliminated by adjustment, but for this you need to have at least a basic understanding of the design of engines and carburetors. If you don't like getting your hands dirty, then Forte generators are not for you.

Low-cost generator just in case

Forte FG 3500 is one of the cheapest models among gasoline generators. Despite the "low-cost", it may well become the "lifesaver" that will save your home in the event of a sudden power outage. But he does not pretend to be a generator working at a construction site for many hours in a row. Firstly, its motor resource is not as large as that of more expensive counterparts. And secondly, the manufacturer does not recommend using this gas generator in the rain or at high humidity.
