The fan is not very noisy, but probably because of the heat, the UPS gets quite hot even when running from the mains without charging the batteries and with a 200W load.
The fan turns on at 60° and runs until the temperature drops to 50°, so in summer it ends up running almost all the time; in winter it will most likely run less.
