In principle, it's a decent chair; the tubes it's made of are quite sturdy. The overall construction is good too, except for the drawbacks described below. Moza R3 fits nicely on it. The chair has three quirks, two of which are easily resolved (still figuring out the third), which I think is common with these kinds of chairs — the way the pedal block is attached, the lack of rigidity under the steering wheel, and the "legs." For the steering wheel, there's a need for a brace to form a triangle instead of just one pipe, and the platform itself is attached to the tube with plastic and has a significant wobble, as do the tubes at this point. However, the pedal block is easier to address: I removed all the factory "legs" and from the chair as well, wrapped anti-squeak on the tubes (I think fabric electrical tape would work too), and now it stands more stably. I simply strapped the pedals to the chair with plastic ties, preserving their functionality, so they can still be lifted and leaned against the chair to take up less space. Now the pedals are completely fixed and don't slide around or wobble like they did on the original "legs." In this case, the problem is completely solved. Price-quality "Legs", mounting of the pedal block to the seat itself, mounting of the steering wheel platform to the pipes, and the rigidity of the structure at this point — lacks a triangle (another tube between the bend). |
