Pumping equipment for weak power networks
In the Gardena line of pumping stations, the Classic 3000 model is one of the "weakest". Its capacity is only 2800 L/h (sufficient for 2 – 3 taps or one watering hose). But it is inexpensive (only a little more than $ 150) and does not create a large load on the network (engine power 600 W) — almost perfect for a gardening cooperative or a rural outback.
Unpretentious in operation, but requires careful installation
The device is easy to operate. The capacitor motor does not require maintenance. The thermal relay automatically turns off the engine when it overheats. The self-priming pump allows you not to monitor the filling of the system before turning on the device. An efficient pre-filter cleans the liquid of fine particles that may be contained in well or rainwater. All maintenance during the operation of this station is reduced to the timely draining of water from the pump before the onset of cold weather, if the equipment is installed outdoors or in an unheated room.
The disadvantage of the pump is the plastic threads at the inlet and outlet. Although they are made of high-quality plastic that can last forever, but if you do the installation inaccurately, overtightening the fasteners, you can damage the threads.
Inexpensive pumping station to the country
The manufacturer does not recommend the use of the GARDENA Classic 3000 Pump Station for potable water supply. It is intended for industrial water, which is taken from wells, wells, storage tanks or reservoirs and is used for irrigation, washing a car or filling toilet bowls. It is expedient to use this station for water supply of a country house or a garden site.
