I asked a friend who sells cars and travels a lot around Ukraine, and he advised me to take such a model as a Garmin navigator. The advice turned out to be sensible, I have been driving for six months now and I am completely satisfied with the device. Equipped with a sensitive and high-precision Sirf Star III GPS receiver, so there are no problems with determining the location, even in difficult terrain. The screen is small by modern standards, but bright and with a good anti-glare coating. Clicking works out clearly and accurately. There is a built-in licensed map of Ukraine from NaviLux. The map is detailed and detailed. In addition to streets and houses, it has a decent database of the location of various useful places: gas stations, hotels, cafes and restaurants, and various public buildings. There is a pedestrian mode, by turning on which you can get out of the car with the navigator and it will record the route along which you can return back to the car. For example, this mode helped me a lot when I went to Kyiv with my friends to play football. We were late, we parked far from the stadium, in a hurry, and then this function of the navigator came in handy. In general, he is able to remember up to 10 routes. It has a slot for an SD memory card, where you can load new maps, as well as photos, music or audio books. Very capacious battery, which lasts for 4-4.5 hours. Has anti-theft system Garmin Lock. In case of theft, it will not help to return it, but for the thief the navigator will turn into a useless piece of plastic. Low screen resolution of 480x272, which makes individual pixels clearly visible. This does not affect the readability of information in any way, but it does not look very modern. |
