Gislaved winter tyres are well known for their excellent performance on snow and ice, in the harsh winter conditions found in northern and eastern Europe. Now the R&D engineers have developed the new Gislaved Nord Frost 5 tyre, which combines the technical innovation and excellence of its predecessor, the Gislaved Nord Frost 3, which, like other members of the NordFrost group, has proven itself over the years on snow and ice and is considered a reliable means of safe driving in northern winter conditions and often proves to be the benchmark in comparative tyre tests. The new stud technology, improved tread pattern and innovative tread compound of the new Gislaved Nord Frost 5 all contribute to improved braking and handling performance. The new directional symmetrical tread pattern with parallel centre ribs improves handling and steering response and guarantees good snow handling, tyre centre wear resistance and a 2% increase in mileage. The new Nordic Silica rubber compound with highly reactive carbon black and an innovative winter grip polymer improves grip on ice and snow. Combined with the new diamond stud technology, traction and braking on ice and dry handling are up to 5% higher than its predecessor, the Gislaved Nord Frost 3.
