The design of the panel is made in retro style. This is evidenced by mechanical control in the form of figured handles with ivory and bronze finishes, and an ivory frame.
4 Hi-Light burners with a total power of 6.4 kW were divided into two small ones with the same diameter of 14.5 cm, one medium one with 18 cm, and, as usual, the largest one — double-circuit 12/21 cm.
Functional minimalism
Retro turned out in the literal sense. All control comes down to setting the power level for each burner from 1 to 9 and ... that's it. There are, of course, residual heat indicators, but everyone has them ... In fairness, we note that one more function is assigned to the indicators. They light up if hot dishes are placed on a non-working burner, but do not automatically turn off the burners.
The EC 642 CLI does not have any other functions or options. Whether this is considered a minus, given the retro orientation of the panel, is up to you. Someone will surely like this simplicity. But given the cost of the panel on a par with the same advanced high-tech and no less beautiful Siemens ET 651FNP1, for us personally, the choice in favor of the latter seems obvious.
