Gorenje JC4800VWY
![]() | Outdated Product High-quality and performant auger juicer from the famous Gorenje brand. The device is universal: it can be used for any vegetables and fruits — thanks to the rotating auger, it easily separates the juice from the cake. It consumes only 200 watts. An important convenience of using the Gorenje JC4800VWY juicer is that the device automatically separates the juice from the pulp, distributing them into different tanks. Containers for juice and cake are both designed for 600 mL. These are convenient free-standing tanks that can be replaced with other containers. They are easy to clean and are equipped with a drip-stop system, thanks to which drops of juice do not flow onto the work surfaces. Mechanical control — all the necessary parameters are set manually. You can control the presence of pulp...in the juice — for this, the size of the cells in the filter mesh is adjusted. The built-in foam separator separates juice and foam for a cleaner end product. The body of the juicer is made of steel. It is quite heavy — 4.2 kg, so the model is more stable during operation. When overheated, the equipment automatically turns off — this property is useful when working with harder products. The possibility of a reverse move is provided. |

We really wanted to buy it because healthy eating is important to us, especially when there's a baby in the house. On the plus side, surprisingly, it juices very well, leaving the pulp really dry. It doesn't make a lot of noise because the auger spins at a low speed. It's not hard to clean; if you juice apples, oranges, or lemons, it can be simply rinsed under running water. Grapefruit, on the other hand, clogs the holes, and the included brush comes in handy. On the downside, the pulp control lever is poorly implemented, it's difficult to move, with a high risk of breaking it altogether. The rubber gasket under the bottom of the centrifuge is loosely attached, and after the first try, a drop of juice appeared on the motor casing. Pomegranates clog it very quickly, the remnants don't come out, and you need to mechanically clean the hole. It's quite funny that a small thing like the juice container lid doesn't fit tightly, meaning it's not quite a match, being 1-2 mm smaller than the grooves on the container. The manual has minimal information, leaving you to guess why things are made the way they are. I didn't like that there was a humming noise from the motor when I put in a few pieces of orange—it clearly needed more power. There are minor issues on the body that indicate poor manufacturing quality (like so-called "poor China"), even though the price isn't exactly low. It's hard to evaluate the juicer; it seems beneficial but has too many "buts" for one model. Perhaps it's worth paying extra for a good brand (Bosch, Philips). Presses juice well, the pulp at the exit is dry, not very noisy, easy to wash Pulp quantity adjustment lever, unreliable rubber seal, unsuitable container lid, poor instructions, low engine power |
