Summer has arrived, bringing with it unbearable heat. The question of purchasing a split-system arose. We wanted to buy an air conditioner that worked for both heating and cooling, and the price shouldn't be too high. We decided on the KAS21ZN split-system by Gorenje - a fairly well-known company with a good reputation (I've read many positive reviews about it), which generally inspires confidence. The price pleasantly surprised us, we got it for 18 thousand. The design is classic, without any frills, with a white frame featuring a mirror insert in the center with a light display. The remote control has a backlight (very convenient for use at night) and came with batteries - a small but nice detail. You can operate it without reading the instructions, it's all quite intuitive: select the operating mode, set the temperature, the fan speed, and enjoy the coolness (or warmth). This split-system also has unique features: "Follow me," "Sleep," "Self-clean," "Dry" modes, a timer, and a lock. The split-system operates quietly, you can hardly hear it, and we didn't even turn it off at night. In early fall, we managed to test the split-system for heating - it flawlessly handled warming the apartment. I have been using various household appliances manufactured by Gorenje for many years and I must say that all of them are quite high quality. Therefore, when choosing an air conditioner, I could not pass by this brand. So another household appliance of this excellent brand appeared in my house. The air cools excellently. With a rated working area of 27 square meters, it actually works at home for two rooms with a total area of about 36 square meters. And it copes with such a load with ease. I've also used the heating function, but much less. It uses electricity efficiently. I always thought only inverter models were highly energy-efficient. So when I saw that the KAS35 complies with the Euro standard class A, it was a pleasant surprise. It maintains the set temperature quite precisely, which not all manufacturers can boast of. It can quickly cool an apartment in "turbo" mode, and the cooling speed is indeed higher compared to the normal mode. I liked the "automatic" mode operation. The air conditioner is not noisy. Of course, you can hear it at any fan speed, including in "night" mode, but this rustling sound doesn't bother me at all. It knows how to properly direct cold or warm air flows. There are no problems with placing the indoor and outdoor units. They are small in size, and their weight is also not significant. I hung the outdoor unit on the balcony railing, and the indoor unit is as usual under the ceiling. The Gorenje remote control was poorly developed.
